Well - it seems as though the blogosphere has gotten away from me again! I am putting it on my phone calander and I plan to be a devoted real estate blogger every Monday!!
Since my last blog in February, lots has happened! It seems that mortgages are getting harder and harder to get and only the larger acreage/residential properties have been able to consumate that elusive CLOSING!
There are loads of properties on the market to choose from now if you have the dollars to do it with! However, the Central Texas market has stayed relatively flat and has not had the price reductions most of the rest of the U.S. has experienced. If you are a seller, that is good, but if you are a buyer, that may mean that you will still pay a little less for your property, but you will not be getting the reductions that are available in the rest of the U.S.
Bottom line is this - Bastrop County and Cental Texas is still one of the best buys in the entire U.S. Our real estate values remain stable, even in the face of a strong economic downturn!
